By the Bayou

“Rhythm’n’Bluesin’ By The Bayou”, the latest in our “By The Bayou” series, features 28 rompin’, stompin’ tracks from the blues men and women of South Louisiana. The tracks have been pulled from the vaults of leading record men J.D. Miller, Eddie Shuler and Floyd Soileau plus Rockin’ Sidney’s first disc – cut by Jake Graffagnino for his Carl label..."

"Hardly have we savoured the full taste of “Rhythm ’n’ Bluesin’ By The Bayou” than here comes another bucketful of steaming South Louisiana gumbo and this time it’s “Bluesin’ By The Bayou” – a spicy mix of guitars, harmonicas, and even the occasional accordion, accompanying those tales of despair or machismo that are the recipe for the blues.

All the tracks stem from the studios of J.D. Miller in Crowley and Eddie Shuler in Lake Charles. These two men were wonders at spotting talent and getting the best out of the performers, as illustrated on the 28 tracks on this CD."

Amazing that an English label is what it takes these days to get us to appreciate south La roots. Love Ace.

Bonjour, I download Bluesin Bayou again cause there's a problem with the track 28. Don't know if it's me or a corrupted file ?
Anyway a big thanks for all.

Hey Cristophe,

I can tell you that I just checked my download copy and track 28 is fine at my end.
It is only 4.54 MB - perhaps I could e-mail it to you.
Or post it somewhere you can get at it.

It was fine when I tested it as well - I'll reload it when I've got a moment, but during our festival season I am very busy and one track isn't a high priority.

Thanks for the answers, guys. Perhaps Lazz can sent it to me at this place pourtoiamivendeur@me.com
Thanks again for your disponability.

Thank you for that fine English word "disponability".
I have never ever heard it used before, or read it anywhere.
Completely new to me - "capable of being placed, arranged, or disposed of as one wishes".
Does it mean the same in French "disponablement"?

Anyway, Christophe - it is done

Thanks Lazz. Disponability (in French, my language : disponibilité). My english is not so good, cause I learnt it listening to John Lee Hooker or Blind Willie Johnson. But I don't like to much this language excepted when talked by these kind of guys, I mean the people from the Crypt !
