Let's start off our Sunday service with a small addendum to Pres' earlier Inez Andrews post...a pair of gems that show her off in her prime. 'Toiling' is as impassioned a performance as I have ever heard from her. I just picked this up Friday night, an impulse buy that I am well pleased with.

Has there ever been a better female hard gospel lead than Inez Andrews? I don't believe so! Stunning vocal performances, both of them. Thanks.
Lord what a voice. Toiling is thrilling (check out Otis Clay's When the Gates Swing Open from Gospel Truth. Good but can't hold a prayer candle to this.). An early outing for Andre Crouch on piano too.
